The Finella Hill Race is a traditional highlight of the Drumtochty Highland Games, offering runners a demanding off road challenge through the beautiful countryside of Kincardineshire. Starting from the historic Drumtochty Castle grounds near Auchenblae, the race combines the atmosphere of a classic Highland Games with an exciting test of hill running.
The approximately 7.7K course follows a tough out and back route over steep, muddy trails and forest tracks before climbing to the summit of Tom na h-Airidh. The rewarding ascent and fast descent create an enjoyable challenge for experienced runners while showcasing superb views across the surrounding landscape.
