Double Trouble 10K Returns
Grab your partner and commit to this 10K race with a difference...
After a successful inaugural outing in 2023, East Yorkshire's Double Trouble 10K will make a triumphant return to the race calendar later this month on 31 March.
Speaking about the unique event, organisers, Blip Events, say: "A local event was cancelled last year and we were asked to put on a race with four weeks notice! Double Trouble was that race and we achieved a 98% attendance rate as well as great feedback from all who ran."
This is a unique format and organisers believe it is the only race of its type in East Yorkshire. The idea is that your official finish time is the combined time of you and your partner. Don't worry this isn's a three-legged event, you do run independently!
The race starts at the Withernsea Pavilion, near Hull, and follows the old railway track and farm tracks before entering Hollym Carrs. Here, runners follow the tracks though the woods onto a bridal way and once at Hollym they rejoin the railway lines with just under 1.5K to go back to a warm welcome and a cuppa at 'The Hut'.
Organisers explain: "This is a great race to start the season, fun and friendly with a free cuppa before and after the race. To give you an idea of timings, last year's winners had a combined time of 1:32 with the back of the field coming in around 2:40."
Each finisher will receive a personalised mug with the name of their partner on it! Trophies will be awarded to 1st Male, Female and mixed pairs.
