Paris in the Spring beckons
Your opportunity to join thousands in the marathon trip of your life
Paris in the Spring. It's such an emotive image for so many of us and was immortalised in the 1935 song that featured in the 'Paris in Spring' film that year, sung by Mary Ellis – who lived for 105 years!
We cannot promise eternal youth but our new travel partners, Destination Sport Experiences, can certainly support you safely and efficiently to participate in either Harmonie Mutuelle Paris Half Marathon on 6th March or Schneider Electric Paris Marathon on 3rd April 2022.
Paris Half Marathon usually attracts 40,000 entrants and is expected to start in the vicinity of the Place de la Bastille. The scenic route runs beside the great River Seine, through Bois de Vincennes Park, and back alongside the Seine to finish in the heart of the city on Rue de Lyon.
One month later Paris Marathon takes centre stage, with up to 60,000 participants and a generous 5:40 cut off time, which means that around a third of all runners are first-time marathoners. The fabulous Avenue des Champs-Élysées is the start location, right in front of the Arc de Triomphe! The course passes practically every major sightseeing highlight, including Chateau de Vincennes, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Louvre and, of course, the Eiffel Tower.
On either trip, you will be aided by former Paris resident and fluent French-speaker Simon, who will look after the logistics while you relax and concentrate on the event and enjoy the experience. Guaranteed entry can be included, along with a guided easy run on Saturday for all and an escorted visit to the Expo for race bib collection.
