The David Thornby 10K takes place from Little Fant Farm in East Farleigh near Maidstone, Kent. Formerly known as the Maidstone Harriers 10K, the event was renamed in 2026 in honour of Maidstone Harriers legend David Thornby, whose original vision helped create the course.
This 10K multi terrain route combines farm tracks, country roads and riverside paths through the Kent countryside. Starting at Little Fant Farm, runners follow undulating roads before descending to the River Medway for a scenic flat section alongside the water. The return route includes the challenging climb up Unicumes Lane before heading back towards the finish.
Organised by Maidstone Harriers, the race offers a varied and rewarding route that combines rural scenery, mixed terrain and one of the most distinctive multi terrain 10K courses in the Maidstone area.
