Endurancelife Dorset takes runners along the Jurassic Coast near Swanage, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic cliffs and remarkable geological history. Part of the Endurancelife trail running series, the event features four challenging distances through one of southern England's most distinctive coastal landscapes.
Runners can choose from a 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon or 32.3 mile Ultra, following coastal trails and grassy paths with repeated climbs and descents. The courses are rated Extreme by the organiser, with elevation gain ranging from 774 feet in the 10K to 4,416 feet in the Ultra. The demanding terrain provides a substantial challenge for experienced trail runners and those progressing to longer distances.
The Marathon and Ultra also qualify for the UTMB Index, while performances across all distances contribute towards the Endurancelife Season Leaderboard. With its rugged coastline, open sea views and demanding routes, Dorset is a memorable fixture in the coastal trail running calendar.
