The Cotswold Half Way is a challenging 47 mile point to point ultra following the Cotswold Way National Trail from Chipping Campden to Painswick. The route journeys through some of the Cotswolds' most distinctive countryside, repeatedly climbing to panoramic viewpoints before dropping into villages and valleys.
Runners face a hilly course across grassy trails, hard stone tracks, fields and occasional road sections. Navigation largely relies on the existing Cotswold Way acorn markers, with a GPX provided and additional markings only used where necessary. A 15 hour overall time limit and intermediate cut offs add to the endurance challenge.
Food stations, live tracking and support are provided along the route as runners make their way south towards Painswick. The combination of sustained climbing, varied trail surfaces and classic Cotswold scenery makes this a demanding journey along almost half of the Cotswold Way.
