Clowbridge 5K is a trail race around Clowbridge Reservoir near Burnley, following a popular route off the Pennine Bridleway. The event is based at Rossendale Valley Sailing Club and forms part of a three race series held at the reservoir.
Runners complete two anti-clockwise laps of the trail path around Clowbridge Reservoir. With approximately 25m of elevation across the 5K distance, the course is notably flat and runnable, making it suitable for faster racing as well as runners building experience on trails.
The race is open to runners aged 11 and over and the course is marshalled throughout. Prizes are available at each race, while money raised through the series is donated to local causes.
