The Clowbridge 5K Autumn 1 is the opening race in the three event Clowbridge Autumn Series, organised by RunJMC. Taking place at Clowbridge Reservoir near Burnley, the event offers a welcoming evening trail race on a fast course suitable for runners of all abilities.
The measured 5K route follows two anti clockwise laps of the trail around Clowbridge Reservoir from the Rossendale Valley Sailing Club. Running mainly on the Pennine Bridleway, the course has only around 25 metres of elevation, creating a quick trail route with attractive reservoir views throughout.
The Clowbridge 5K is an excellent choice for runners looking for a fast trail race without the demands of steep climbs or technical terrain. Its friendly atmosphere, well marshalled course and scenic setting make it a popular fixture in the Lancashire trail running calendar.
