Cholmondeley Castle 10K & Half Marathon
Around the Summer Solstice, this leg of the Castle Run Series will take place at Cholmondeley Castle during the long, bucolic days of June.

Cholmondeley Castle multisport event attracts thousands of competitors and supporters to the beautiful countryside of Cheshire. The race offers the quintessential Castle Run Series experience of competitive and fun racing, an epic castle backdrop and a stunning location.
The Cholmondeley Castle 10K runners will complete 2 laps of a 5K circuit. Starting adjacent to the cricket pitch and in full view of the castle, the 1st K of the course follows a well-worn track to an area of the estate called Cattle Crush where runners continue around the beautiful estate grounds with the final 1K, mostly downhill and off road, passing the castle tea rooms, over the croquet lawn and down the main lawn of the castle. 10K is achieved when the Finish Line.
The Half Marathon and Marathon will see competitors undertake laps of the spectator friendly 7K estate loop. Starting within full view of the castle, runners take in the beautiful and interesting estate grounds and stunning views of the Peckforton Hills, on a varied course comprising of track, tarmac and off-road.
The finishing straight, with the castle as a backdrop, leads all runners to the now famous finishing line feast and a well deserved medal!
