The South Downs Way 100 is a 100 mile point to point trail race following the full length of the South Downs Way National Trail from near Winchester in Hampshire to Eastbourne on the Sussex coast. The route traverses the South Downs National Park, linking rolling chalk ridges, historic landmarks, ancient forts and rural villages across Southern England.
This ultra marathon follows predominantly off road trails and bridleways, with significant elevation gain across the length of the course. Runners spend much of the race on exposed chalk ridgeways with wide views across the Weald, the English Channel and surrounding countryside. The combination of long climbs, undulating terrain and continuous point to point progression makes it one of the UK's most established and demanding 100 mile trail races.
