The Castleton Show Run is an approximately 6 mile road race starting and finishing at Castleton Showground in the North York Moors National Park. The event takes place alongside Castleton Show and follows a scenic and undulating course through the surrounding countryside.
Runners follow a challenging road route taking in Dibble Bridge, Hob Hole and Westerdale. Described as a road race for fell runners and a fell race for road runners, the course provides plenty of climbing and rewards the effort with views across the North York Moors.
The race is held under UK Athletics rules and is open to runners aged 16 and over. Prizes are awarded to leading individuals, veteran categories and teams, with the start and finish bringing runners back to the showground.
