Carsington Water Trail Half Marathon & 10K February is organised by RunThrough and takes runners around the picturesque reservoir in the Derbyshire countryside.
Both distances follow undulating trails around Carsington Water, combining open reservoir views with peaceful countryside surroundings. The Half Marathon starts at Carsington Water Visitor Centre and features approximately 200m of climbing, while the 10K begins separately at Millfields Car Park. Both routes finish at the main event village beside the visitor centre.
The races are chip timed, with routes marked using trail flags, arrows and signage. Marshals provide support at major junctions, while downloadable GPX routes help runners navigate the trails. Water stations are positioned along both courses, with finishers receiving a themed medal, refreshments and free professional race photography.
