Capital race will get you buzzing in October

A spectacular route and a special occasion - make Edinburgh Men's 10K even more memorable by joining Team CHSS and really hear the crowds cheer

There was disappointment this summer when the popular Glasgow Men's 10K had to operate as a virtual event however it will be back in live form in its traditional Father's Day slot in 2022 (Sunday 19 June). On a positive note organisers have confirmed that the Edinburgh version of the event goes ahead on the streets of the capital on Sunday 24 October.

Runners are in for a treat with a stunning route that starts on the Royal Mile before heading along Princes Street Gardens. There, the Castle is a dramatic backdrop as you pass the Scott Monument and head to Holyrood Park with its views of Arthur's Seat. Then it's back to the Grassmarket and the second half of the race. A grandstand finish at Murrayfield provides a brilliant finale.

There's certain to be a great buzz around the route as both runners and spectators enjoy the freedom of race action after 18 months of restrictions. And the historic and scenic route adds a unique quality all of its own.

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS) will once again field a big team at the Edinburgh Men's 10K and they would love you to join them on 24 October. CHSS is working hard in these difficult times to provide vital services and help change lives to help make sure there’s no life half lived in Scotland.

Combining Men's 10K entry with support for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is the perfect way to get you into race action AND to make a difference to hundreds of lives across Scotland. Pledges for these charity places aren't too demanding with minimum sponsorship targets.

Whether you’ve never run before, or you’re preparing for your 100th event, you can’t afford to miss out on a fast day of Edinburgh race action. With a spectacular route, fantastic atmosphere and a truly memorable experience – it’s no wonder this race is one of Scotland's favourites.
