The Cambridgeshire Elements Series Fire Run is a timed trail event at Grafham Water, forming part of Phoenix Running's Elements Series. The event uses a 5.3K out and back course which can be completed repeatedly, allowing participants to choose how many laps they run.
Runners can complete anything from a single 3.3 mile lap through 5K, 10K, 10 mile, half marathon and marathon distances to an ultra. The predominantly flat course follows tarmac cycle paths with a small section of gravel, with minimal elevation gain and loss creating relatively fast running conditions around Grafham Water.
The Fire Run is one of four events inspired by Fire, Water, Air and Earth, with each featuring its own themed finisher's medal. Participants can enter the Fire event individually or take on the wider series, while the flexible format allows runners to decide how far they want to go during their run.
