Caernarfon Half Marathon is a scenic road race starting and finishing beside the historic Caernarfon Castle in North Wales. The course combines the striking castle setting with a varied route around Caernarfon and the surrounding landscape.
Runners tackle a 13.1 mile course featuring several small climbs balanced by longer, faster downhill sections. Drink stations are positioned at approximately three mile intervals, with marshals and course signage providing support along the way. Parts of the route remain open to traffic, while road closures are used on other sections.
The race forms part of Run Wales' Four Castles Half Marathon Series and welcomes runners taking part individually as well as those completing the wider series. Finishers receive a bespoke medal and technical T-shirt, with the start and finish beside Caernarfon Castle providing a memorable setting for the event.
