The Bronte Half Marathon and 10K are challenging trail races through the heart of Brontë Country in West Yorkshire. Based at Penistone Hill Country Park near Haworth, the event explores the distinctive countryside between Haworth and Hebden Bridge while raising funds to support the work of Sue Ryder.
Runners can choose the Half Marathon for the full endurance challenge or take on the shorter but still demanding 10K. The hilly trail routes make use of the area's paths and tracks, taking participants through the rugged moorland landscapes closely associated with the Brontës and providing a scenic test for runners away from conventional road racing.
The running event takes place alongside Sue Ryder's established Brontë Mountain Bike Challenge, creating a shared day of outdoor activity and fundraising. All runners receive a race memento at the finish, along with the event's traditional serving of pie and peas after completing their route.
