The Bridges of the Tyne 5 Mile Road Race is a popular summer road race showcasing Newcastle's famous waterfront and iconic river crossings. Starting on the Quayside, the event attracts runners of all abilities with its fast, scenic route and vibrant atmosphere.
The mainly flat out and back 5 mile course follows the banks of the River Tyne, passing beneath and alongside some of the city's best known bridges while offering excellent opportunities to chase a personal best.
