The Boscastle Scramble is a demanding self navigated coastal marathon that follows one of the most spectacular stretches of the South West Coast Path. Organised by Purple Gecko Events, the 26 mile route takes runners from Rock on the Camel Estuary to the picturesque harbour village of Boscastle, delivering an unforgettable day of adventure along the North Cornish coast.
Runners will tackle relentless climbs, dramatic cliff paths, secluded coves and breathtaking sea views as they navigate this challenging point to point course. Three fully stocked checkpoints provide water, snacks and support along the way, while GPS tracking and mandatory safety equipment ensure a well managed event in a remote environment.
Widely regarded as one of Cornwall's toughest marathon challenges, the Boscastle Scramble also forms Stage 3 of the Saints & Smugglers 100 Mile Challenge. With a finisher's medal, a welcoming atmosphere at the finish in Boscastle and an incredible coastal setting, it is a must for experienced trail and endurance runners.
