The Blacksheep 3 and 6 Hour Challenge is organised by It's Grim Up North Running and takes place from Masham on the edge of the North Yorkshire Dales. This flexible endurance event allows runners to complete as many laps as they wish within either a three or six hour time limit, making it suitable for everyone from first time endurance runners to experienced ultra runners.
The signed and marshalled loop combines trails, quiet roads and stiles, with a predominantly flat profile featuring one steady climb. Participants decide their distance on the day by completing as many laps as they choose before finishing within their selected time limit.
The event features regular feed stations, bespoke finisher's medals, post race refreshments and a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Its flexible format, scenic Yorkshire setting and relaxed approach have made the Blacksheep 3 and 6 Hour Challenge a popular fixture in the endurance running calendar.
