The BigMud Trails Earth event takes place at Queen Elizabeth Country Park in Hampshire, offering 50K, Marathon and 16 mile trail races through the South Downs.
The routes follow single lap courses through the Meon Valley, featuring rolling hills, woodland trails and sections of deep mud. A key challenge is the climb to Butser Hill, the highest point in the South Downs, which runners tackle twice during the race.
The terrain is varied and demanding, combining steep climbs with runnable sections and wide open views across the South Downs National Park. The event forms part of the Classic Element Trail Series, themed around the element of Earth.
Runners benefit from a fully marked course, well stocked aid stations and a supportive atmosphere throughout. The looped format keeps logistics simple, with the start and finish located at the same venue.
A tough and rewarding trail event that delivers mud, hills and scenic countryside in equal measure.
