The Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon is a major road running event through Northern Ireland's capital, starting and finishing at Ormeau Park. The 13.1 mile route travels through the north, south, east and west of Belfast, giving participants an extensive tour of the city and its contrasting neighbourhoods.
Runners follow a city road course featuring some of Belfast's best known sights, including the Harland and Wolff cranes, Custom House Square and City Hall. The combination of central streets, landmark views and large scale race atmosphere has helped establish the event as Northern Ireland's biggest half marathon, regularly attracting enough demand to reach its entry capacity.
Participants must be over 17 and complete the Half Marathon within the three hour course limit. Race packs are collected in advance rather than posted, while the start and finish at Ormeau Park provide a shared event base for the thousands of runners taking on the citywide 13.1 mile challenge.
