The Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon takes runners on a 13.1 mile journey through Northern Ireland’s capital, starting and finishing at Ormeau Park. The route travels through the north, south, east and west of Belfast, giving runners a broad tour of the city.
The road course passes a number of Belfast landmarks and central areas, including the Harland and Wolff cranes, Custom House Square and City Hall. With thousands of runners taking part, the event has grown to become the largest half marathon in Northern Ireland and has regularly reached its entry capacity.
Runners have three hours to complete the half marathon, with all participants required to be over 17. Race packs are collected ahead of race day, and the course returns to the Ormeau Park area for the finish after its circuit of the city.
