BeckBusters is a mixed terrain running event based at Bishop Monkton Primary School in North Yorkshire, featuring a 10K race and a 2K Fun Run. The event combines a friendly community atmosphere with scenic countryside running, with both distances starting and finishing at the school.
The 10K follows a flat and fast single lap course across roads, footpaths and trails, beginning on a quiet country road before heading cross country towards the River Ure and Ripon Canal. Runners pass through the village of Littlethorpe before returning across the countryside to Bishop Monkton, where the distinctive splash through the beck provides a memorable end to the route. The 2K Fun Run uses a shorter mixed terrain course incorporating a country road and farm track, with an optional splash through the beck.
Both races are chip timed, with the Fun Run taking place before the main 10K and welcoming younger runners.
