Balfron 10K Returns To Stirlingshire Roads
Scenic and community driven race back this May with entries open...
The much loved Balfron 10K returns to the Stirlingshire calendar on Sunday 3 May 2026, with entries now open for one of Scotland’s most popular community road races.
Starting and finishing at Balfron Campus, the race takes runners on a scenic out and back journey along closed country roads through the Endrick Valley, offering wide open views towards the Campsie hills and surrounding countryside.
First established in 2007, the event has grown into a firm favourite among runners of all abilities, combining an officially measured course and chip timing with a welcoming atmosphere that continues to attract both experienced competitors and first time participants.
The race is run under a Scottish Athletics permit and is organised entirely by volunteers, with proceeds supporting local schools and charities. To date, the event has raised significant funds for community causes, reinforcing its place as more than just a race.
With a field limited to around 350 runners and no entry on the day, demand is expected to be strong once again. Participants can expect a well organised event complete with race medal, optional merchandise and refreshments on the course and at the finish.
Balfron’s combination of rural charm, community spirit and a testing yet enjoyable route ensures it remains one of the standout 10Ks in Scotland each spring.
Entries are open via Entry Central and runners are encouraged to secure their place early.
