The Badminton Estate Trail Races give runners the chance to explore the private grounds of one of Gloucestershire’s historic estates. Marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K distances take in the estate’s varied landscape, with a 2K Fun Run completing the programme for younger runners and families.
The routes weave through woodland, open grass meadows and parkland on a mixture of solid stone paths and trails. The courses are largely flat with smaller rises and falls, providing an approachable trail challenge while showcasing parts of the Badminton Estate normally closed to the public.
With distances ranging from 5K to marathon, runners can experience the estate over anything from a shorter trail race to a longer endurance challenge. Routes are comprehensively marked and marshalled, with the historic grounds and surrounding countryside giving the races their distinctive setting.
