The Alderton 5K is a friendly community road race held in the Gloucestershire village of Alderton, raising funds for Alderton Acorns Pre School. Open to runners of all abilities, the event welcomes beginners, experienced runners, juniors, pushchairs, dogs and escorted participants.
The closed road out and back course follows quiet country lanes towards Great Washbourne before returning to Alderton Playing Field for the finish. The route is fairly flat, making it ideal for runners chasing a personal best or completing their first 5K, with medals, finish photos and post race refreshments available.
The Alderton 5K combines a welcoming atmosphere with a fast course and strong community spirit. With every entry helping to support a local charity, it is a rewarding event for runners looking to enjoy a well organised race while giving back to the local community.
