The Aldbury 5 is a long established trail race organised by Tring Running Club, starting and finishing at the recreation ground in the picturesque Hertfordshire village of Aldbury. Held annually since 1992 in memory of Steve Newlands, the event has become a popular fixture in the local running calendar, attracting runners seeking an enjoyable summer trail challenge.
The 5.3 mile course follows well marked woodland trails and off road paths through the beautiful Ashridge Estate in the Chiltern Hills. The varied terrain, rolling profile and scenic forest surroundings provide an engaging trail running experience, with fully marshalled routes guiding runners through one of the area's finest landscapes.
With chip timing, a welcoming club atmosphere and excellent race organisation, the Aldbury 5 offers an enjoyable event for experienced trail runners and those new to off road racing alike.
