News - Strathclyde parkrun Plans First Timers Day
Strathclyde parkrun is holding a special 'first-timers' event on Saturday, April 30, 2011, starting at 9:30am. The event team will hold a special 'First Timers' briefing at 9:10 on the grass in the park, by the blue tent, - you drive past the Watersport Centre, head for the very last Car Park, which is Car Park 4, and from there you should see the blue tent. The team will provide new parkrunners with all the information they need and will be available to take questions.

News - Chance For Motorway Run
This summer sees a new stretch of motorway opening in Glasgow which extends the M74 from Fullarton Road Junction, near Carmyle, to the M8 motorway west of the Kingston Bridge. Prior to the June opening, the Project Partners and the Contractor are allowing a one off opportunity to see the route by cycling, walking and running.

Race Listings - The Royal Connection
It's appropriate that in advance of Friday's royal wedding of the St Andrew's lovebirds, the big running event of the weekend is Run Balmoral, a chance to have a spin round the Royal Family's holiday home. The 10k is the feature race but there are also half marathon, 5K and school's races. So quite a nice family occasion even if you're not a blue blood.
