Mark Allison, the Briton who is currently running across the United States, covering 3,100 miles in 100 days, has had a dramatic first week on his epic journey. Mark has battled scorching daytime temperatures; faced down giant dogs; and coped with serious blisters to complete 180.4 miles after 6 days.

News - We Could Be Heroes
With Passing It On being the chosen Brighton Half Marathon Youth Partner Charity for 2012, the Brighton Half Marathon organisers are proud to support their Heroes Run which takes place every year on the third Sunday in May. Thousands of runners will be dressing up as superheroes on Sunday, May 15 and running either the 'Heroic' 10K or the 'Super' 5 K race on Brighton seafront.

Poll - Favourite Drink After A Long Run
In our May poll - asking you what your favourite way to re-hydrate after a run is - Water is coming out as a clear favourite with 54.5% of the vote. Following in second are Isotonic Sports Drinks with 27.3%, with Fruit Juice in third place with 9.1%.
