News - CaniX Expands In Scotland

Runners in Scotland who'd liked to train with their dogs now have a new group that will happily introduce them to the joys of CaniX. Canicross Scotland (Running with Dogs) is a recently established organisation that aims to promote the sport of canicross, arrange free training runs and events and put enthusiasts in touch with each other.

SCOTTISH RUNNING GUIDE's Chris Broadbent has been thinking about the number of people he's seen out running recently...

We all enjoy people watching. Who, for instance, hasn't deliberately chosen the seat in the restaurant that offers them the best view of the other diners? Or even on a European jaunt, leisurely whiled away an hour at a town square café watching the locals go about their business? I didn't always observe runners any more than other people in the street. My interest in them was about equal to the man walking his dog. But ever since taking up running, I just can't help myself...

Up And Coming Races

This weekend is one for the serious hill runners with the the Tiso Carnethy 5 Hills race taking place on Saturday February 12 at 2pm.

Next weekend, the Kirkintilloch Olympians 12.5K Road Race and the Kinloss to Lossiemouth Half Marathon start at 10:30 and 11:00 respectively on Sunday February 20.
