Northumberland Coastal Run

Castle, crowds, cask ale… this weekend’s Richmond Castle 10K is definitely brought to you by the letter C. The race starts and finishes in the grounds of the Norman fortress of Richmond Castle. After being cheered on by swathes of spectators, participants can enjoy some refreshments at the race’s real ale festival. There will be fewer beers but plenty of cheers to be found at Run Northumberland Matfen 10K. The race is set near the picturesque village of Matfen, with runners taking on rural roads through the villages of Ryal and Great Whittington.
