Northumberland Coastal Run

Billed as ‘Britain’s most beautiful marathon’ Active Northumberland Kielder Marathon returns this weekend alongside a half marathon, 10k, bike run, and junior run. The marathon route follows Lakeside Way, offering spectacular views and a course that is testing for trail runners, adventure racers and marathon enthusiasts alike. History buffs are in for a treat at the Great Cumbrian Run in the historic border city of Carlisle. The half marathon starts from the magnificent Carlisle Castle, and takes in the picturesque villages of Cumwhinton, Wetheral and Scotby.  If colourful capers are more your thing, the 5K Colour Rush takes place in Birstall, West Yorkshire.
