And the publication of Christopher McDougall's colourful book 'Born To Run' has added to the speculation that the modern day running shoe may not be the optimal product.

Up And Coming Races

Race Listings PageThis weekend the Meltham 10K and Ferriby 10 take place on Sunday January 30. The Meltham 10K starts at 9.30 from Meltham Com. Sports Centre, Huddersfield while the Ferriby 10 starts at 11:00 from Skidby Windmill, Skidby.

Next weekend heralds the start of February, and sees The Southport MAD DOG Seaside 10K Run, the Blackburn Winter Warmer 10K and the Alexandra Park 5K February Race, along with plenty of others which you can view on our race listings page.

So, if you're in the area, make sure to go along and cheer for the runners! As always, good luck to everyone taking part in races over the next two weeks and remember, if you are organising a race, you can sign up as a race organiser.
