News - Spider-Man Takes On 96 Mile Ultra

This June a charity fundraiser will attempt to run one of the UK's toughest ultra marathons, the 96-mile West Highland Way Race, dressed as ‘The Ultra Amazing Spider-Man’. Ross Lawrie will run the race in aid of CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland).

News - Mascots Set World Record

Mascots world record Inverness Inverness Half Marathon was the scene of a new world record on Sunday. Charity mascots Harvey the Heart and Bobby the Bee crossed the finish line together to record a time of 1.37.03 which, if verified, will be a new world record for the fastest half marathon by mascots.

Video Of The Week - 95-year-old Sets World Record

95 year old recordOur video of the week is of 95-year-old Charles Eugster setting a new 200m indoor world record for his age group. He knocked 2.4 off the previous record to finish in an impressive 55:48, proving that age is no barrier to running!

Race Listing

D33 ultra runnerA firm favourite with ultrarunners throughout Scotland, the D33 returns to Aberdeenshire this weekend. The 33-mile race features an out-and-back course along the old Deeside railway line. It's Deer season in the Borders with the Mighty Deerstalker attracting obstacle-race lovers to its 10K and 5K. A more conventional race, Alloa Half Marathon takes place for the 33rd year on Sunday, providing a fast scenic course with long stretches along the foot of the Ochils.
