Runners will line up for battle 'like extras from Braveheart' as they prepare to take on the Carnethy 5 at the Battle of Roslin site on Saturday. The route is divided into two sections and though short, can be exposed to full winter conditions.

A slightly longer event, Kirkintilloch Olympians host their annual 12.5K on Sunday. The course takes participants along quiet, undulating country roads.

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend, and remember you can check our race listings for your results!
