News - Mersey Santas Win World Title

Mersey SantasOn their 10th anniversary, BTR Liverpool’s Santa Dash received the present it deserved in prising back the world title honours from Las Vegas. A staggering 8,500 Santas defied challenging weather conditions to ensure Sunday’s event would be memorable;  The city was awash with a sea of red – and 750 blue Santas – for Liverpool’s biggest annual festive spectacle.

News - Olympic Run Set For Long Haul

Olympic runNewham Council and Nova International have agreed a 10 year deal to stage the Great Newham London Run through the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The long-term agreement aims to establish the race firmly in the Great Run series of events with an ambition of 400,000 finishers in the coming decade. With the opportunity to cross the finish line in the Olympic Stadium, hopes are high the 10k run will become one of the capital’s must-do races.

Race Listings

Up and Running halfLast weekend's race results are now available online at southernrunningguide.com. Check out the results and upcoming events on our race listing page.

A scenic, single lap, traffic free course awaits runners at the sold-out Up and Running Milton Keynes Half Marathon this weekend. Some sections of the race are so scenic that organisers say ‘you will need to pinch yourself that you are actually in the city’.

Sunday’s Muddy Welly features a 5k and 10k of tracks and trails around the beautiful grounds of Wellington College in Berkshire. Though it may be muddy in places, participants are assured they won't need to wear wellies!
