Runtalk - Sub Two Marathon Nears

KimettoAnother large stride was taken at the weekend towards running’s last great barrier as Kenyan Dennis Kimetto broke the marathon world record by winning in Berlin in 2:02:57. It was a 27 second improvement on the previous best set at the same race 12 months earlier by fellow countryman Wilson Kipsang.

News - 10th Birthday Bash At Coniston Trail

Great YorkshireThe ever-popular Lakeland Trails arrives in Coniston this weekend with the event preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Sunday's race is set to attract a field of over 1200, with runners from across the UK, New Zealand, Israel, USA, Sweden, Norway and Iceland all set to compete.

News - 4,000 Survive In Cardiff

Survival of the Fittest

Last Sunday (28 September) saw over 4,000 complete the first instalment of Britain’s biggest adventure race series, Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest. Cardiff’s Roald Dahl Plass was transformed into the base for a colossal 10k urban assault course that pushed Survivors to their limits as they raced against the clock.

Race Listing

Kielder finisherBilled as ‘Britain’s most beautiful marathon’, Salmon Kielder Marathon returns this weekend. The route follows Lakeside Way, offering spectacular views and a testing course. There is also the 10K, held almost entirely off road on trails around Bull Crag Peninsula of Kielder Water. On Sunday, there’s the Great Cumbrian Run, starting from Carlisle Castle, crossing Castle Way and heading through Carlisle before going into the countryside and through Cumwhinton, Wetheral and Scotby.
