News - Copenhagen Half Going For Gold

Copenhagen Half

After recently becoming the first half marathon in the Nordic countries to be awarded the International Association of Athletics Federations’ Road Race bronze label, Copenhagen Half Marathon is going for gold in 2015. The event, set for 13 September 2015, is hoping to achieve the gold award this year, a status awarded to just five other half marathons in Europe.

News - Maisy Inspires Dad To Action At Plymouth Half

Father and daughter team, Ken and Maisy Martin, are in training for Plymouth's Half Marathon on Sunday 19 April.  And it's 7-year-old Maisy who has taken the lead and provided the inspiration for her Dad.

News - North Korea Marathon Bans Foreigners

North Korea did little to change its isolationist image as it announced that it is to ban international runners from competing in this year's Pyongyang Marathon. Organisers cited concerns over the Ebola virus as the primary reason behind the move.

Video Of The Week - Mo Farah's Two-Mile World Record

Mo FarrahOur video of the week was captured by a fan of Mo Farah breaking the two-mile indoor world record last weekend. Mo put aside his online spat with Andy Vernon earlier in the week to race home in an incredible eight minutes and 3.4 seconds.

Race Listings

Race Your Pace HalfSet in the venue that hosted the Olympic rowing in 2012, Saturday's Race Your Pace Half Marathon offers a pancake-flat four lap course around Dorney Lake. Also on Saturday, the first event of the 2015 Maverick Original Trail Series kicks off with a 8k, 15k, and 21k on offer. Keeping with the 'series' theme, the Run Richmond Park series continues with a 10k and 5k in south-west London.
