Hull MarathonDespite opening registration less than two weeks ago, organisers of Hull Marathon they have already received over 300 entries. The recently launched event, organised for Sunday 13 September, will showcase the Hull in the lead up to its hosting of the UK City of Culture 2017.

Windmill RunnerThe Men's Health Survival of the Fittest series returns to Manchester this weekend, packing a punishing 10k route woven through Sport City, the Etihad Stadium and into Phillips Park. The course features loads of mud, full-body dunkings and immersion in water, canal crossings and a whopping great Stadium Climb. An altogether less muddy event is the Windmill 10K on Sunday. The sold-out event features a fast and flat course on the coastal front of Lytham and Fairhaven Lake, starting at Lytham Windmill.
