News - Yorkshire Prepares For War Of Roses

Great Yorkshire

The Bupa Great Yorkshire Run will bring a festival of running to Sheffield city centre this Sunday with up to 6000 runners expected to take part. The event will also see the War of the Roses running battle commence, with Yorkshire and Lancashire going head-to-head in the bid to be the fastest over the 10k.

News - Grand Return At Aintree

Grand Aintree

This weekend will see the return of the Grand 10K Run at Aintree (Liverpool) with organisers expecting more than 1000 runners to take part. Online entries close today (Friday 26 September) at 5.00pm but you can sign-up on the day. Registration priced at just £25 (or £23 for club runners).

Poll - Trail Running All Year Round?

Trail Running ManTrail Running is growing in popularity, and we want to know when you hit the trails - Are you an autumn ace or a summer swift? Or do you follow the breadcrumbs all year round?

So far 68% of you have said that you are year-round trail runners, 13% say they only head out on the pavements, and 6% prefer summer.

Run Preston

The inaugural Haltwhistle Half Marathon takes place in Northumberland on Sunday. The race follows the South Tyne Trail from Haltwhistle along an old railway line crossing the Lambley viaduct, before heading back downhill to the finish. Not a new race, but a new course will greet runners at the Run Preston 10K/5K, also on Sunday. Around 1500 runners are expected to take part in the event.
