News - Run Balmoral Returns

Run Balmoral 10K

Over 5000 runners will head to the Highlands this weekend (26/27 April) to compete at the Run Balmoral running festival. The event consists of junior races, a 10K and 5K on the Saturday and a 15 Mile Trail & Wee Trail race on the Sunday.

News - Jan The Man At Islay

Jan ThomsenThe weather was chilly and windy but a warm fire burned in the heart of 36-year-old Jan Thomsen as he outlasted 25-year-old Adam McLean of Scotland in Islay’s Single Malt Marathon on Sunday 13 April. The victory was the first marathon win for Thomsen and it came at the expense of a young runner’s admitted 'tactical error'.

Saturday will see runners pairing Garmins with gowns at the Bridal March in Dundee. The wedding-themed event takes place in Camperdown Park and includes a 10K, 5K and Family Mile. There are two major events on Sunday with Run Balmoral and the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run. The Great Edinburgh Run will be more testing than usual as it showcases its new 10-mile route.
