Mayor Boost For parkrun

Boris Johnston and a RunnerLondon parkun was this week awarded £130,000 of funding from the Mayor of London to enable the formation of another 20 of the free weekly 5k timed parkruns across the city. The funding will also allow for the on-line communities to organise leagues and competitions.

Up And Coming Races

Southern Running Guide May Race ListingsDue to the snow over the last week there have been a number of race cancellations and postponements in the south of England. One of the affected races is The London Santa Run 6K for Disability Snowsport UK, which has been postponed till December 11. Remember to check your race's website before heading off this weekend, and remember to wrap up well for the snow.
