Runtalk - V Sign

40 MPH Speed Limit SignI am about to become a whole lot more familiar with the letter V (writes Chris Broadbent).

When at school it was a good sign. A red-inked ‘V’ preceding a ‘good’ in my exercise book was always a welcome sight. Later in life, ‘V’ has indicated something on the restaurant menu my wife would choose, whilst I plumped for the steak. Thus far, it’s fair to say V has been a fairly minor part of my life. Race Listing

Forfar Half runnersYou can find lots of events and results on our race listings page and organisers can add their race details to our event listings by signing up here.

This weekend Lossie High School are recreating an elite European international event originally held in Lossiemouth last summer. And this time anyone can take part! Sunday’s Euromeeting 2013 Revisited gives recreational runners the chance to tackle the three courses and see how they get on. Sticking with orienteering, Sluie Orienteering in Banchory will see participants run through muddy, hilly terrain whilst navigating around a series of checkpoints on a highly detailed map.

Finally, an event that won’t require a map (hopefully). The Forfar Multi Terrain Half Marathon, as the name suggests, contains a varied mixture of surfaces from country park paths, tarmac, pavement, farm tracks, fields and bogs - and a water section which can be knee deep (and ice cold).

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend, and remember you can check our race listings for your results!
