News - Your Chance To Join King Of The Fells

King of the Fells

77-year-old Joss Naylor, known as the King of the Fells amongst the running fraternity, is taking to the peaks of Cumbria again this summer in an attempt to complete a full series of runs in the Lake District Mountain Trial. As it stands, Joss has completed 51 of the 52 trials staged since 1960, and is hoping to tackle the route he should have embarked on in 1964.

News - A Star Is Bourne

Bouremouth Festival ImageOrganisers of Bournemouth Marathon Festival are delighted by the response the new event has received with thousands of runners already signed up for the various races on Saturday 5 October and Sunday 6 October. The festival gives runners the option of two junior races, a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon and a full marathon - all overlooking Bournemouth's seven-mile-long golden sand beach.

Part of the rebranded Born To Run Liverpool events, the Mersey Tunnel 10K will be held for the eighth year on Sunday. The original event disappeared from the running calendar in 2002 when less than 700 people took part, but around 3,500 are expected to participate this weekend. Further east, runners can take in some North Sea air as they enjoy the scenic route on offer at the inaugural Durham Coastal Half marathon.
