For those thinking of entering the Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run half marathon or 10K this year, it'll pay to get in early. Organisers are offering the first 6,000 entrants a special discount for either race on 6 October.

News - Going Greek

Runner at Athens marathonFollowing the route taken by Greek soldier Philippides over 2,500 years ago, Athens Classic marathon allows participants to sample history and see where the modern-day marathon originated. Legend has it that Philippides ran from Marathon to Athens in 490 BC and thousands of participants will retrace his footsteps on 10 November this year.
