Rocked up runners will dust off their Elvis wigs on Sunday (14 April) as they prepare for the second annual Rock 'n' Roll Edinburgh half marathon. 5,500 participants will take to the streets of Scotland's capital for the race, a 10% increase from last year's entries.

It's not everyone's idea of marital bliss, but there was laughter aplenty for 23 happy couples at the UK Wife Carrying Championships near Dorking, Surrey recently. The sixth annual staging of the event took place in snow crusted ground over the challenging off-road 380 metre course.

Poll - Which Springtime Marathon Is Your Favourite

Spring is here (even if only in name!) and that means that marathon season is back! With some of the biggest events in the running calendar coming up soon, we decided to find out which is your favourite?

So far, leading in first place with 41.5% is Edinburgh, followed by London with 20.8%, and Lochaber comes in third with 15.1%.
