News - Bournemouth To Host New Marathon Festival

Bournemouth FestivalPlans for a major running festival in the south of England were announced today by GSi Events. The company behind the Big Fun Run series of 5ks, the Kilomathon and the 30,000 participant Edinburgh Marathon Festival will stage the first multi-race event in Bournemouth in October (5 and 6), 2013.

News - Free Family Event At Running Show

Running Show BannerThe forthcoming Running Show at Sandown Park, Surrey will feature a free-to-enter 2k Family Fun Run along with a 10k two lap race around the historic grounds. All About Triathlons will host the races on Sunday 25 November, the second day of the major exhibition which will feature numerous workshops and around 80 stall holders.

News - Injured Soldier Aims For Paralympic Success

Anthony CooperAfter losing both legs in a bomb blast while on patrol in Afghanistan, Anthony Cooper, 25, was told by doctors he would never walk again. Just two years later, however, Anthony has been awarded the title of David Lloyd Leisure's Hero of the Year, and is now set on fulfilling his dream of becoming a Paralympic long distance runner.
